Greg Palast – Billionaires & Ballot Bandits
In 2008, our voter guide/comic book Steal Back Your Vote written by Greg Palast and Bobby Kennedy reached over half a million voters. And we’re going to do it again in our new ballot-protection weapon:
Billionaires & Ballot Bandits – How to Steal an Election in 9 Easy Steps
This time, investigative reporter Greg Palast, who busted the story of the purge of Black voters in Florida in 2000, has teamed with genius comic pen-man Ted Rall and the crew of the Palast Investigative Fund to produce a kick-butt-and-take-down-names book and film.
In 2008, Steal Back Your Vote was distributed to thousands of at-risk voters in cooperation with Operation Rainbow/PUSH, Rock the Vote, VotoLatino, the Congressional Black Caucus and 150 other non-partisan groups. Now we’re releasing a new book and comic book called Billionaires & Ballot Bandits: How to Steal an Election in 9 Easy Steps

This time, we’re hunting big game: not only the tricksters who are abusing voter ID laws, list purges and more to swipe our civil rights, but also the billionaires buying up our democracy. We name them, shame them and turn the game on them.

Bobby Kennedy says this election will see $4 billion spent to poison the vote process. In the last presidential election, Last time, we calculated over five million voters blocked or purged, or allowed to vote, then their votes spoiled and discarded. In 2000, only 357 purged votes chose our president. In 2012?
In 1996, Greg Palast filmed the first investigation of The Koch Brothers. In 2000, Palast uncovered how Katherine Harris purged 56,000 African-Americans from Florida voter rolls.
In 2004, Palast, for BBC Television uncovered Karl Rove and Tim Griffin’s caged voters.
In 2008, Palast, with Bobby Kennedy, busted the Karl Rove attack on ballots – from ID games to firing US prosecutors.
And now, in 2012, there’s once again a full-scale attack on the right to vote.
We have the evidence, the inside documents and the internationally respected team — Greg Palast, Bobby Kennedy, Rick Rowley, ZD Roberts, Badpenny, Anthony DiMieri and the rest of the crew — whose reports you’ve seen on BBC-TV and Democracy Now!, PBS’ Now!, and in Rolling Stone, Harpers, and the Guardian.
